Why Doctors to Florida?

After SB 7016 was signed into law, Ashley’s Tio, a MD in Honduras, asked her to determine his next steps to practice medicine in Florida.

Ashley recognized many doctors with foreign degrees who want to be licensed to practice medicine in Florida may have the same questions, and she can find answers.

• Ashley has extensive knowledge of the Florida Legislature. She interned and closely worked for a Representative in the Florida House during COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent vaccination roll out.
• In addition, Ashley served as a Sr. Communications Associate for a company under the umbrella of The Messina Group, created by the Campaign Manager of President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. 
• Ashley earned her Masters in Strategic Communication from the University of Delaware and her Bachelors of Science from University of Central Florida.

Ashley now closely follows all policy and new laws passed by the Florida Legislature, communicating to constituents pertinent information and key messages through social media. She also is full time Mom of her two year old daughter.
